Curriculum

Our Curriculum Intent

At Leverhulme, we are developing our curriculum to ensure that all pupils have the knowledge, vocabulary and skills to be confident successful individuals at each stage of their learning.   We believe that our whole school community should be resilient, enthusiastic, open and responsible to ensure all are equipped for their life now and in the future.

At Leverhulme our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum which can be found by following the link below.

Children in Early Years Foundation Stage are taught using the Foundation Stage Framework through direct teaching and structured continuous provision.  Please see the document below.

The documents below show the overview of the curriculum at Leverhulme for each subject and year group.

We use knowledge organisers to ensure that everyone knows exactly what information is expected to be learnt over the course of the study in a particular subject.  We feel that these provide consistency, clarity and promote curiosity.

We follow the Letters and Sounds Phonics Scheme, which runs throughout school.
